Who we are

Trade Sourcer ("we", "us", "Trade Sourcer") operates the Trade Sourcer website and acts as the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@tradesourcer.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need to run a B2B sourcing service:

• Account data you provide when you register: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), company name, country, optional WhatsApp number, and optional website.
• Your selected categories of interest, used to match you with relevant offers.
• Quote requests (RFQs) you submit, including the products, quantities, target prices, and specifications you describe.
• Interaction data: for example, when you open the "contact about this offer" page we record that hand-off so we can measure interest in a lot and follow up.
• Standard technical data (such as your IP address and browser information) processed by our hosting and email providers to deliver and secure the service.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data, and we ask that you do not include it in free-text fields such as RFQs.

How we use your data and our lawful bases

• To create and manage your account and provide the service — necessary to perform our agreement with you.
• To respond to your enquiries and quote requests, and to broker deals — necessary to perform our agreement and our legitimate interest in operating the marketplace.
• To send offer-notification emails — only where you have given consent by opting in; you can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every such email.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations — our legitimate interests and legal compliance.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the service:

• Hosting and database infrastructure (our cloud hosting and managed database providers).
• Email delivery (our transactional email provider) to send verification, password-reset, and opted-in offer emails.
• Messaging: when you choose to contact us over WhatsApp, your message and phone number are shared with the WhatsApp/Meta service that carries it. Using WhatsApp is optional; you can email us instead.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision) to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. RFQ and interaction records are kept while they remain useful for serving you and for our legitimate business analysis, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email info@tradesourcer.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the site; these do not require consent. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
